Profile
Dr. A. Govardhan is a Senior Professor of Computer Science & Engineering. He has held several academic and administrative positions including Rector, Registrar (I/c), Executive Council Member, Finance Committee Member at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH).
He has served as Principal, Director (School of Information Technology), Director of Evaluation, Officer-in-Charge of Examinations, Head of the Department of CSE and Student Advisor at JNTUH. He has also served on Boards of Studies and various Academic and Administrative Committees at National and State levels.
Education
Dr. Govardhan completed his schooling from Z.P.H.S. Choutuppal, Intermediate from Andhra Pradesh Residential Junior College (APRJC), Nagarjuna Sagar. He obtained his B.E. from Osmania University College of Engineering, M.Tech from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi and Ph.D from JNTU Hyderabad.
He also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Leadership from EMERITUS, Singapore, in collaboration with Tuck Executive Education (Dartmouth), Columbia Business School and MIT.
Awards & Achievements
Dr. Govardhan is the recipient of more than 45 International and National Awards including Visionary EduLeader of the Year (2023), Elsevier Lifetime Achievement Award (2022), Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Excellency Award, Dewang Mehta Academic Leadership Award, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan National Award and Andhra Pradesh State Best Teacher Award.
Academic & Research Contributions
He has guided 103 Ph.D. scholars, 1 M.Phil and 140 M.Tech projects. He has published over 555 research papers and edited several books and conference proceedings with Springer and other reputed publishers.
He has delivered more than 150 keynote speeches and invited lectures and has chaired multiple international and national conferences. He has 30 years of teaching and research experience with significant contributions to academic leadership and university reforms.
